#25 The Clarity Sessions Podcast - Tips For Creating New Content

One of the questions that I get often from my coaching students, from people in my Amplify Method coaching program, and even at live conferences is, "Brian, how do I get new ideas for content? How do I know what to post on social media? How do I get my new ideas?"

And my response is: answer the public.

Find out what questions people are already asking, and then answer them as part of your content process. So what I want to share three different ways to answer the public or to provide answers to the questions that people are asking.

The strategy is to find out what questions people are already asking about your industry and your niche, and answer those questions. Your answers become the content.

1. Join Facebook groups in your niche and ask questions.

The first place to find these questions is a private Facebook group. Join a private Facebook group or start a private Facebook group in your niche. There are many examples of online Facebook groups where there's a really dynamic...

#24 The Clarity Sessions Podcast – Obstacles To Customer Clarity

Clarifying your audience is such an important step that too many people miss when it comes to creating their business.  I want to share with you about why it's important for you to clarify your audience and to specifically focus on that one target avatar you will serve with your products and services.

There are a few obstacles that we face when it comes to clarifying our audience. I'm going to walk you through those three obstacles that many of my coaching clients and participants in my courses face before we start to work together. If we do not clarify our customers or know exactly who we serve, then we don't know what to offer our audience or how to help them. This leads to zero sales. You might have a great idea for an online course, membership site, speech, or a book, but if you don't know who it's for, you likely won't have anyone to buy it.

So let's talk about the three obstacles that you may be facing:

1. You are thinking too broad.

So this happens often. I'm talking to...

#22 The Clarity Sessions Podcast -- Morning Affirmations

Morning affirmations can be a powerful start to your day, so I'm going to walk you through my morning affirmation process.

If you're unfamiliar with affirmations, what you do is you are deciding on a destination for your life and you are affirming that destination. You have to have a goal to get to your destination, and an affirmation is reminding you of the destination: "Yes, this is where I want to go."

So as you start a new year, a new quarter, or a new season in your life, I highly recommend that you implement my morning affirmation process so that you can remind yourself on a regular basis why you want to achieve these goals and what the goals are in the first place.

Here's the truth...it's really easy to forget about your goals. At the beginning of the year you might say, "This is the year for me to finally get fit. This is the year for me to finally improve my friendships or spend extra time with my kids." Maybe this is the year to finally get out of debt or go on a vacation....

#21 The Clarity Sessions Podcast -- Money Mindset

Money mindset is a topic that is not spoken about frequently in my world of faith-based online entrepreneurs. Christians who have a message to share in their businesses don't love talking about this topic.

As I wrote my book, Start With Your People, I realized that money is one of those taboo topics that is so important for us to process. We need to have the right money mindset because money affects our most important relationships. Money is a topic that exposes our deepest fears and our greatest vulnerabilities. Nothing will shut a conversation down and push people into their defensive corners more quickly than talking about money, but it's important that we address our money mindset. It's affecting our most important relationships. If you think about it, there are actually four relationships that money affects.

1. Marriage

When we enter into a marriage, we both come from different families of origin with different expectations about housing, food, entertainment, vacations. It all...

#20 The Clarity Sessions Podcast-How To Create A Successful Webinar

**These concepts are from a combination of Jeff Walker's book, Launch, and Russell Brunson from ClickFunnels.

I want to share with you about live webinars and why I recommend live webinars as a part of your marketing strategy. But first, you may be wondering, "What is a webinar?" Well, a webinar is basically an event. It's an opportunity to invite people to participate in something exciting and often live. If you think about a concert, festival, parade, or a running event, there's something about this community element that's really exciting. A live webinar can be the same thing for your industry!

As an example, I'm hosting a live webinar coming up all about money mindset and helping people, specifically faith-based entrepreneurs, with their money mindset.

Here's the basic business model of a successful webinar:

1. Opportunity

The first thing that I do is start to think about the three limiting beliefs of my audience. What are the three limiting beliefs that your audience has about...

#19 The Clarity Sessions Podcast — Move Out Of The Zone Of Incompetence

It's time to move you out of your zone of incompetence.

Recently I went through the book, The Big Leap, by Gary Hendricks, for probably the fourth time. It's an amazing book that talks about the upper limit challenge and the four zones when it comes to your work and your life. You've probably heard the concept of your zone of genius. That specifically comes from that book.

What I want to address is that big leap, gap, and decision to go from your lowest level zone, which is your zone of incompetence, to that second zone, which is your zone of competence. The third zone is excellence and the fourth zone is genius. But what I found from my amplified coaching students and my clarity coaching clients is that they don't really think they have a genius. They feel stuck doing something they don't like doing.

This article is specifically for you if...

  1. You have been struggling to update your website.
  2. You have been spending hours and hours trying to learn that video editing program and, yet,...

#18 The Clarity Sessions Podcast - The One Change Your Website Needs To Increase Sales

It's time to learn the one change to make to your website to better serve your audience and make more sales. I thought of this topic when one of my coaching students inside the Amplify Method coaching program asked me to review his website. Now, normally I don't do that, but I like to go above and beyond for people that are inside of the Amplify Method coaching program. So I took a look at his site while I did a screen recording to give him feedback. As I was going through his site, I did a little exercise that I want to challenge you to do as well.

Exercise:

Open up the home screen of your website and search for two words. You search for the word "we," if it's more than one person that runs your site. For example, this guy has the site with his wife. You then search for the word "I" like the letter "I." This shows you how many times you talk about yourself or your company on your website. For him, it was over seven times on his homepage alone. So, then I searched for the word "you"...

#17 The Clarity Sessions Podcast -- Emulate Before You Innovate

There is a concept that I have been applying to my life in many different ways. It's called: emulate before you innovate. Let's break down those two words real quick.

Emulate

Emulate means to follow a model -- to implement a plan and follow somebody else's process.

Innovate

Innovate means to create your own script, your own journey, your own path, but that shouldn't be done until you emulate. Emulate before you innovate.

Here is an example...my team and I have been going through this process called EOS -- the entrepreneur operating system. As we go through EOS, it's really easy to try to come up with new ideas and say, "Oh, we're not going to do it that way." For example, they have a weekly 90-minute meeting. My first thought was, "Well, we have a 60-minute meeting, so let's just do a 60-minute meeting." But what I'm learning to do is emulate before I innovate -- to follow the system before I try to change the system.

Why?

The reason for that is because I need to acknowledge that...

#16 The Clarity Sessions Podcast -- 3 Reasons To Use TikTok

I want to share with you about my new favorite social media app called TikTok. Now, depending on when you're reading this, you might not have even heard of TikTok before, or you're new to it and think it's just for 12-year-old girls.

That's what I thought.

Tik Tok must be for teens who want to sing, do duets, or tell funny jokes. But what I'm learning about Tik Tok is that it's the future. If you think about it, the way we feel about Tik Tok is similar to how we felt about Instagram and Facebook several years ago and Myspace before that. When an up and coming social media tool comes out, it brings a lot of preconceived notions to it.

Here are three reasons to start using Tik Tok to grow your audience, to engage your ideal audience, and to increase sales.

1. It's still new.

Technically Tik Tok really only started in August of 2018, so it's just over a year old. It's a baby social media platform, but it has millions and millions of users. You now have an opportunity to have an...

#14 The Clarity Sessions Podcast -- Why Sign-Up For A High-Level Mastermind Group

Ever thought about signing up for a high-level mastermind? You might first be wondering: what is a high-level mastermind? Well, generally it's led by a thought leader in your space. This might be an author or a speaker or a marketing consultant -- somebody who has been doing what they do for a while who you can trust because they have the kind of results that you want.

Their mastermind is usually a small group of people that they invest in over the course of a year. So the reason I'm talking about this topic is because we're just launching our own high-level mastermind for our writing community called Hope Writers.

You want to serve one person the same way you would serve 100. I can't serve 3000 people and give them personalized feedback and coaching and encouragement, but I could for 30 people. So the idea is instead of a hundred, how can you focus down to that 1% of your audience. That's what a mastermind does. It's the highest level that you could potentially give to your...
