Meet your mastermind coach, Dr. Brian Dixon

Brian has a masters in teaching and a doctoral degree in educational technology. He has traditionally published two books and self published four. Through his leadership and coaching, his businesses and clients have generated over $6 million online.

He began his career as a classroom teacher where he taught high school students multimedia and digital production. After seven years of teaching, he moved into instructional technology, serving as a teacher technology coordinator at a private Christian school in San Diego and a industry leading charter school. In 2009, he started the Mentorship Academy in Louisiana, taking the project from an idea on a whiteboard to a $5.3 million annual budget and serving over 600 students.

Brian then left education to start his own marketing and coaching business, working with clients such as Michael Hyatt, Crystal Paine, Myquillyn “The Nester” Smith, Jennifer Allwood, and Carey Nieuwhof. In 2015, he partnered with Emily P. Freeman and her dad Gary to start hope*writers, a paid membership community of writers which Brian helped grow to almost 4,000 members as the Director of Growth.

Brian is the bestselling author of Start with Your People, published by Zondervan an imprint of HarperCollins. He’s appeared on hundreds of podcasts and been a featured speaker on stages such as Elite Blog Academy, Activate, Social Media Marketing World, and TedX.

He and his wife Julie are celebrating their 20th year of marriage and have three entrepreneurial minded kids. (His oldest son sold his online membership site BibleBuilds.com to New York Times Bestselling author Jefferson Bethke when he was 10 years old.) The Dixons proudly reside in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina.
